“Greg is an architect with great imagination and design skills and is an excellent
listener. He has the talent of listening to the client , asking the right questions,
and finding a common ground which produces excellent results. We are extremely pleased
with the design which Greg developed, most especially because of the difficult site
conditions that he had to deal with. The design is authentic to the area, speaks to
its neighbors, and most effectively incorporates the strengths of the site.”

“As the end of the year approaches, I look back on the year 1999 and think about the
many things I am grateful for. My beautiful new house has to top the list. Undertaking a major
renovation that required my husband and I moving out of our home for six months was needless to
say stressful.
However, the project itself was not stressful. When I tell people that we only made
two design changes from your original drawing, they can't believe it. And I know that
is because you took the time to ask questions and listen to what we had to say. You
designed a house for us to our specifications. Thank you for your listening skills.”

“G.J. Olson Architects has designed an incredible home for us on the Mullica River in Greenbank, NJ.
Working closely with Greg has been an absolute pleasure. He listened carefully to our dreams and
visions, subtly suggesting variations to our plans when necessary and returned with a breathtaking
design that will very shortly become our home. Greg is a truly talented and artistic architect with
an uncanny ability to listen to what his client wants and to know what his client needs.”

“We have been working closely with G.J. Olson Architects for the past ten years and have only good things to
say about them. They are prompt, reliable and do their best to comply with our purchasers' requests. They
are very artistic in their design and professional in their presentation.”

The client/developer was taking a dream, developing it into a workable idea and making it reality. The project
needed an architect; a person who could close his eyes and feel their vision.
Olson researched the 19th century homes scattered throughout Skippack, and incorporated unique details into the
sketches he presented.
Quarried stone accents, a dramatic use of windows, and a variety of roof angles, combined with lampposts, hedging and
front porches, blended the exteriors of the three models; Traditional, Farmhouse and Provincial, into the historic setting.
The interior designs were dramatically different. Olson moved the buyer into the 20th century with open floorplans, two-story
family rooms, two story foyers, nine-foot first floor ceilings and elegant master suites complete with fire-places.
“Greg was amazing,” Genovesi says. “He captured it all. To have that kind of a relationship with an architect has been a pleasant experience.”
